This New Bahamas Resort Will Have the World’s First Floating Helipad

The upcoming Rosewood Exuma in The Bahamas will be home to the world’s first floating helipad, set on crystal-clear waters just over an hour’s flight from south Florida.  Combining aviation and marine design, the creation is the brainchild of Yntegra Group, a Miami-based company that’s also developing the new resort. The trailblazing platform is designed to elevate arrivals into a spectacle of its own, offering guests a seamless and dramatic entrance from sky to sea.

The 2,184-square-foot helipad will be movable to serve guests on multiple locations on resort grounds. It’s designed for durability against intense sun, ocean salt, and weather exposure, and can accommodate helicopters up to 190,000 pounds. Ahead of the resort’s opening, the helipad is facilitating invitation-only day trips for lucky travelers, offering a preview of Rosewood Exuma’s exclusivity, privacy, and effortless access.
